The published size list

Casing pipe sizes are specified by outside diameter — the OD is the controlled dimension, because it must pass through the previous string and carry the coupling the wellhead expects. The company's casing product page publishes the sizes it can machine as a single list, and that list is reproduced here without addition or rounding: 4-1/2, 5, 5-1/2, 6-5/8, 7, 7-5/8, 8-5/8, 9-5/8, 10-3/4, 11-3/4, 13-3/8, 16, 18-5/8 and 20 inches. Fourteen sizes. If a size you need is not on this list, the honest answer is that it sits outside the published envelope and must be confirmed in writing before it enters a programme — the enquiry route is the same, the answer will simply be explicit.

The chart carries sizes only: it does not record that any grade is supplied at any particular size, and no grade is assigned to a size by it. Which string position a size takes in a well is the design's statement, not the chart's.

The grade list is a separate list

The grades are published as their own list, independent of the size list above — neither list is documented against the other. The published grade list names the carbon and low-alloy designations J55, K55, N80-1, N80Q, L80-1 and P110, and, separately, the chromium designations L80-3Cr, 9Cr, 13Cr (L80-13Cr), P110-13Cr and 28Cr. Whether a named grade is supplied at your size is confirmed in the quotation, not read off either list. What the two lists give a buyer at RFQ stage is the envelope check: your size is inside the published size list, and your grade can be checked against the published grade list.

Individually named entries exist outside this chart: a 5 in N80 casing entry in the casing pipe family; the 13Cr series size set — tubing 2-3/8 in to 4-1/2 in and casing 5-1/2 in to 7-5/8 in plus a 9-5/8 in casing entry — which is narrower than the carbon envelope; and a 13-3/8 in P110 BTC coupling named as a stock entry among the couplings. Those are catalogue entries with their own records, not pairings read off the chart above.

Size is only half the specification: weight and wall

Two joints of the same OD are not interchangeable if their weights differ. Casing is ordered by OD plus weight per foot (or wall thickness): state both on the enquiry line, with the grade and thread form your design names. A complete casing line therefore reads: size, weight, grade, thread, range. The sizes chart deliberately does not invent a weight table. State the weight and wall your design names for the line in the enquiry, and ask for both to be confirmed in the quotation. If your programme is written in wall thickness or in metric — the 13Cr casing entry at 177.8 by 10.36 mm is exactly a 7 in casing expressed metrically — send it in that form and ask for the conversion to be shown in the written quotation, where it can be checked.

Couplings and pup joints are specified on their own lines

When you build an RFQ from this chart, give each family its own line — pipe line, coupling line, pup joint line — with the size and grade your design names for that line.

Is 20 in the largest casing you can machine?

It is the largest size in the published list, which runs from 4-1/2 in to 20 in. For a size beyond the list, send it with the full line specification in the enquiry.

Why is there no weight table on this page?

No weight table is published on this page. Ask for the size, weight and wall for your line to be confirmed in the quotation.

Can I specify sizes in millimetres?

Yes. The catalogue itself mixes systems — a 13Cr casing is listed at 177.8 x 10.36 mm. Send metric dimensions as written in your programme; if you want the size lines shown in both forms, say so in the enquiry.

Request a Quotation

Send your size, grade, thread and quantity. MOQ, packing and lead time are confirmed in the quotation for your exact specification — no generic promise replaces a written quote.

Documents: if your tender needs certificates, inspection records or a stated PSL level, note it in the message — documents are quoted with the order, not added afterwards.
