Dimension facts from the factory literature

The dimension facts below are published in the factory's own product literature. Coupling dimensions and tolerances themselves are executed to API Spec 5CT and 5B, as the company's coupling pages state; the figures below are the published size lists, not a substitute for the standard's full dimension tables, which your design office should always work from for final clearance arithmetic.

On the casing side, be careful not to merge two different lists: the published fourteen-size list — 4-1/2 in to 20 in — is a casing machining range, not a coupling stock list. Named casing coupling stock entries are the evidenced ones: 5-1/2 in BTC couplings held as stock, and a 13-3/8 in P110 BTC coupling in stock. Every other casing size and thread combination is an enquiry item, to be raised with the size, grade and form stated. For any size, the coupling outside diameter depends on the thread form and whether a special clearance variant is specified: ask for the OD for your exact combination to be confirmed in the quotation.

Reading a coupling dimension like a buyer

The coupling entries are listed by stock size and family, with the named stock evidence the catalogue gives for each entry. A complete coupling RFQ therefore reads: pipe size, grade, thread form (and EUE, NUE or SCC configuration for tubing), quantity — plus the drift or maximum-OD constraint whenever the string runs in anything tighter than open hole casing.

Stock sizes move. The lists above are the published stock framework; for a specific size, grade and form, state the line in the enquiry and ask for its availability at the time of your order, and for the lead time of any sizes that would be produced rather than drawn from stock, to be confirmed in the written quotation. Packing for couplings is cartons, wooden cases or pallets, or as the customer requires, as the company's coupling literature states.

Why is there no single OD table per size?

Coupling OD varies with thread form and clearance variant. Ask for the OD for your stated form to be confirmed in the quotation.

Are dimensions guaranteed to API tables?

Thread dimensions and tolerances are stated by the company to follow API Spec 5CT and 5B. Design offices should work from the standard's tables for final arithmetic.

Can I order only the sizes on this page?

These are the published stock sizes, not a hard boundary. Sizes outside the lists are raised in the enquiry, with the size, grade and form stated for each line.

Request a Quotation

Send your size, grade, thread and quantity. MOQ, packing and lead time are confirmed in the quotation for your exact specification — no generic promise replaces a written quote.

Documents: if your tender needs certificates, inspection records or a stated PSL level, note it in the message — documents are quoted with the order, not added afterwards.
